Hello! I’m Cynthia, a licensed clinical social worker (she/her/ella), and I'm excited to introduce myself. My approach is warm, genuine, and practical, using humor and honesty to foster a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can be your authentic self. I view therapy through a trauma-informed, feminist, and humanistic lens.
Starting therapy can bring up a range of emotions, and my goal is to meet you where you are on your journey. I integrate various modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, CBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness, to tailor our work to your needs.
With over 12 years in social services, I’ve supported diverse populations, including survivors of intimate partner violence, veterans, and families facing trauma. My experience spans community organizations, hospitals, outpatient clinics, and schools.
As a mother myself, I am very passionate about maternal mental health and the unique needs and challenges of birthing people in the perinatal period (pregnancy, postpartum and transition to parenting). I am certified as Perinatal Mental Health clinican through Postpartum Support International (PSI) and focus my work on meeting the needs of this particular population.
When I'm not with clients, I enjoy spending time with my family, my two dogs, and diving into a good book. I also proudly offer services to the Latinx community and am bilingual.
I encourage you to take the first step and schedule a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your goals and how I can support you. I look forward to connecting!
